We’ve known this customer for a couple of years as we have been carrying out ad-hoc maintenance on her previous property and she had recommended us to friends, family and neighbours.
She came to us with a hand-drawn design for two circular areas of artificial lawn, centralised in the garden, edged with a small patio at either end of the garden, all area’s not paved or lawned were to be covered in decorative stones.
We made suggestions for slabs, edging stones, lawn type and decorative stones, providing samples of the most liked and providing quotes for different variants.

Prior to the project commencing we sprayed the garden with weed chemicals. We then started preparing our levels, by digging out a concrete path, we dug out foundations for the patio and artificial lawn area, ensuring the levels were consistent for the finished garden. We filled these areas with compacted Hardcore, set out the Midnight slate setts as edging for the circles and patios. Then laid Black Kadapha Natural Limestone slabs across the patio areas on a solid mortar bed. All pointing in was finished with Easy-Joint resin based jointing compound. The circular grass areas also have a foundation of compacted hardcore, weed membrane and compacted grit with the Namgrass Hengistbury artificial lawn glued to a concrete haunch around the perimeter. Our customer had selected Cotswold buff chippings to accentuate the darker colours of the patio and lawn.
The whole garden was finished off with personal artefacts and a water feature, but to really finish it off our customer had an electrical engineer fit outdoor lighting which brings the whole garden to life after dark.
